Jemma (Velvet Belle)
Jemma is a 23 year old thoroughbred mare. She is an ex-racehorse that Nadia has owned for over 14 years.
Over the years Jemma has competed at dressage and showing, winning a number of trophies and events. She is now retired due to her age and arthritus which is slowing her down physically but not mentally! The mind is willing but the flesh isn't so these days.
Jemma is one of the nicest creatures on the planet, she taught me to ride and is a little softy and now thanks to Parelli is so much braver than she once was.
The only thing that she still freaks out over is the big Parelli play ball which she thinks is the most terrifying thing in the whole world.
Her last year of work was the best I could have had with her, we had a weeks holiday on the beach and did the Waddesdon sponsored ride and managed to squeeze in a Parelli play day.
